We have been here two days in a row and we want more. This place exceeded all my expectations. I haven't had food this great since I was last in Munich, Germany. The design of the place definitely made it feel like I was back in Germany in one of the beer halls. The service was fantastic and welcoming, they had an amazing drink selection with hard to find beverages, and the food was so delicious! The portion sizes are very large too, which was nice. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend this place to others!

What's better than Oktoberfest at your local German restaurant? Although not truly Oktoberfest, and also near the end of it, it's close enough! The beer selection here, especially German, is awe inspiring. To see Andechs on the selection of choices makes my heart sing, although this time I was aiming for an Oktoberfest special. I selected a half liter of the Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest and it was amazingly good. So, thank you Kathrin's for making it possible. By the way, should you ever find yourself near the Andechs Monastery in southern Bavaria, GO! I once attended church services and afterwards everyone pours out of the church and into the adjacent biergarten to drink the awesome beer! Well worth the experience. But, for this experience along with the beer I tried the Spicy Goulash and it was very good. The noodles were fresh, well prepared, and the meat chunks and sauce quite delicious. The spice level was just right and didn't overwhelm the dish. My dining partner had the pork schnitzel and spaetzle and it looked delicious as well. It was a very hearty portion. Overall, the meal was excellent and very enjoyable. The service was very good, attentive and professional. The only complaint, again, is the noise level inside, not so bad in the biergarten outside. It's nearly impossible to have conversation with the high reverberation level. But, that won't deter me from another visit. The prices are good and the German beer in itself worth coming here. The food was much better than last time too.

This was a first visit for us so I really didn't know what to expect. You walk right in and seat yourself. Which is nice but doesn't make you feel super welcome. Big place and decorated beautifully. FOOD We each had a beer (and the selection is amazing). We decided to share a large pretzel and a 3 sausage Tri from the appetizers. Thank goodness we didn't order more because it was plenty of food. The pretzel is huge and has lots of chunky salt and some sesame seeds which adds a nice nutty flavor. Sausages were amazing. The andouille was smokey(which paired great with the pretzel . I might add that all the food that was coming out around us looked incredible. SERVICE We were greeted just shortly after we seated ourselves. Super friendly. Since we had never been there before, we relied highly on recommendations (which the waiter happily provided). Also beer samples as well. AMBIANCE There are board games to play, huge outdoors seating, seating at the bar as well as tables. Personally I think this would be much funner with a group of people. SUMMARY Great place with a huge selection of beer, family friendly and has amazing food. Would I go again? YES!

Everything about this place is authentic. The style, the food, the game room (which I thought was awesome). I love the coziness of feeling as if I'm in a German, home maybe? Idk much about Germany but wooden building full of dolls and pictures, i don't know it was just different from that bs "modernization " of building that once had taste. I came in to take my father to some German (we're Italians, but also Americans at heart for that fried food). My dad got the goulash which is their only pasta dish--I tried the schnitzel sandwich. I My god is that schnitzel sandwich insane. Message me if you don't believe me I literally have a list of every fried chicken sandwich I've ever had and I rate them. A schnitzel sandwich is literally a fried chicken with coleslaw garlic aioli lettuce and a German role. I could not believe how fire that was. Oh, my dad loved the goulash it had enough spice to be appreciated. It wasn't spicy but he appreciated the attempt as someone who enjoys ghost peppers but compared it to pepper lol. As far as service, and I don't doubt they're overwhelmed one bit. Food took a bit of time to come out, it's father's days and I could see they had plenty of tables full of families. We understood to be patient for a place we didn't reserve for. We got to enjoy beers so why not? Those came out instantly lol. I felt bad for the servers, Caitlyn, our server, was really nice and reassured us it would eventually come out but definitely was running around across the Biergarten. Anyways, I will definitely be coming back for that sando. Maybe enjoy it sooner than I ordered it when it's not father's days.

After jumping from one locale to another to escape the ever encroaching heat... We found ourselves at the mercy of a Kathrin's Biergarten. At any Biergarten, you know we had to wet our whistle with one thing and that thing is none other than their water. Crystal clear with a preferred ratio of ice to water. I would say half cup of ice filled with water. As it drips and glistens I felt instant joy and relief. Cheers, prost and all that.

Really enjoyed my dinner at Kathrin's Biergarten. They fill a good niche offering German food in the Roseville/Rocklin area Having been to Germany, the food was good and true to its German roots. The prices are hefty, but portions are very large here. The menu is large so theres really something for everyone. They also have a large beer selection, a handful of wines and even some ciders on tap! The food was tasty, though not incredible. It's a solid 4/5 stars. The atmosphere is definitely casual. Most of their seating area is outdoors, where they have string lights and picnic style benches. They also have some seating indoors but more limited. Indoors is also very casual. Parking is easy in the lot right out front. We went around 730pm on a Saturday night. We didn't have any wait and had our pick of seats.
